With a career spanning 24 years, Katie Bongard serves as Vice President and General Manager at Transwestern, where she oversees the premier 700,000 sq. ft. Class A tower at 60 South Sixth in Minneapolis. Bongard leads an award-winning management team and manages a core staff of seven, along with over 40 building team employees. Her strategic planning was vital when the property faced the departure of its anchor tenant in 2022; she successfully backfilled 160,000 sq. ft. with a new tenant, Fredrikson & Byron. Bongard expertly synchronized $25 million in tenant improvements with a $6 million lobby renovation, stabilizing the property during a downturn in the Minneapolis Central Business District. In addition to managing the "city within a building" that features complex skyway connections and retail atriums, Bongard has overseen $14 million in critical system upgrades during her tenure. Her influence reaches across the regional market as a group manager for Transwestern’s Midwest Asset Services division and through her leadership roles with the Minneapolis Downtown Council and BOMA Minneapolis.
