Reia Tong, Assistant VP at Douglaston Development, is a rising leader in New York City’s affordable housing sector. She recently secured $190 million in financing for the 2868 Webster Avenue project in the Bronx, which will deliver 277 affordable homes and an 8,000-square-foot grocery store to an underserved community. Tong’s leadership was critical in managing the complex phasing of this development, allowing an existing grocery store to remain operational throughout construction. Her work addresses the city's housing crisis while integrating resident services and green spaces to support healthy aging. Beyond her technical execution of large-scale mixed-use projects, Tong has been a dedicated mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters for over eight years. She also serves on Douglaston’s Corporate Social Responsibility committee, reflecting her purpose-driven approach to real estate development.
