The merging of the two systems allows management companies already using the AMSI system to outsource billing through RentPayment.com's online service. This allows RentPayment to automatically access tenant data from outside systems, as well as gives tenants the ability to make payments via credit card using RentPayment's website.
The benefit for tenants is clear: quick, easy payment. For property managers, the integrated system offers the benefit of being able to seamlessly integrate payment data into existing accounting systems. In an industry where "Better! Faster! Cheaper!" is paramount, the RentPayment system could streamline routine tasks. The question is whether or not tenants will feel comfortable using the system.
