The two sites under consideration are: one at Palm Avenue andInterstate 680, and one at the Pacific Commons site in southFremont near Interstate 880 and Auto Mall Parkway. The city'srecreation commission last month voted to approve the field. Onepark-and-recreation official last week called cricket a"land-intensive request." Officials are also considering adirt-bike area and bocce courts in addition to the cricketfield.
