Patricia L. Kirk has worked in editorial for more than 20 years and, in addition to her duties as GlobeSt.com's West Coast South bureau chief, is editor of Real Estate Media's Real Estate Southern California magazine. Prior to joining Real Estate Media, she was managing editor/content operations manager for Mediconsult.com, an award-winning online business news service. She also has been a reporter for the Houston Chronicle, community newspaper editor and writer for a magazine that covers international business and transportation. Additionally, Kirk was public information director at the University of Houston, where she was founding editor of faculty/staff and alumni magazines, and over the years, has written hundreds of articles published in consumer and business magazines and Web sites. Connie Gore, a western Pennsylvania native, is GlobeSt.com's Southwest news bureau chief. She works with a team of skilled reporters to provide a daily flow of breaking articles from Dallas/Ft. Worth, Austin, Houston and Phoenix. Connie moved to Texas in January 1998 after working for 16 years at a mid-sized suburban daily, the Tribune-Review in Greensburg, PA. She started her career at a small daily, the Standard-Observer in Irwin, primarily as the paper's first courthouse reporter, a position she held for six years. Her Texas experience includes serving as the managing editor for the Dallas Real Estate News and freelancing for a monthly statewide magazine, Texas Technology as well as the Arlington Star-Telegram. She is a seasoned daily reporter and editor, having worked extensively with geographical and topical beats spanning government, education, crime and, of course, commercial and residential real estate. Midwest bureau chief Dees Stribling, who is also editor of Real Estate Chicago magazine, has been in business journalism for roughly 20 years, covering markets in metro Chicago and Nashville. For the past two years, he has been a freelance journalist specializing in the property, retail and financial sectors, and currently serves as property editor for Retail Week.
