Using the approach that it employed on the employee wellnessfacility for the Heart Tower at 300 W. 57th St., Plus One HealthManagement Inc. has launched ECOfitness, a program intended togreen the design, development and management of corporate fitnesscenters.

According to Plus One, the program aims to ensure that energyconservation and the use of eco-friendly products play an integralpart in the overall fitness center project. Elements of ECOfitnesscan include the use of self-powered exercise equipment that reducesthe need for electricity, as well as the installation of flooringand lockers made of recycled materials.For more information on theprogram, visit www.plusone.com.
