The site is at the southwest corner of Chicago Avenue and 53rd Street. Once completed, the first building will consolidate 200 employees from three separate facilities in other parts of the city. The building can accommodate up to 350 employees.
The company's growth and market demand for office space will determine when construction on the first building's twin will begin. Tyler Technologies is also considering offering space for lease to interested tenants. Specific details of the project will be unveiled at a press conference scheduled to take place on May 12, 2008 at the Lubbock Club at the Wells Fargo Building at 1500 Broadway St.
Upon completion, the buildings will be the largest green, class A office buildings in Lubbock. Tyler Technologies is seeking Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification for the complex.
"Since the early 1980s, Tyler Technologies' Incode division has made a home for itself in Lubbock and has experienced tremendous growth and success," says Tyler Technologies EVP Dustin Womble in a press release about the land acquisition and planned development. "A skilled and technically sophisticated workforce, strengthened by the impressive resources available from Texas Tech University and Lubbock Christian University, make Lubbock an attractive business location for Tyler, and a place where we intend to continue to expand our nationally focused operations.
