The University of Dayton Research Institute will occupy the spot, according to reports. The current location of the research institute, the Kettering Labs, will be occupied by the school of engineering. NCR will lease the site for several months during 2010 after the deal closes.
NCR opted to move its headquarters facility to Georgia; putting the property on the market earlier in 2009. The property was valued between $23 million and $25 million, according to an article in the Dayton Business Journal.
This deal increases the University of Dayton's campus to 375 acres, nearly doubling its holdings.
Dayton History will still manage the Old River Park.
