The Keyword Density technique is based on an indexing algorithm employed by search engine spiders. These are the programs that read your web pages and index them. The spiders make a determination about the relevance of keywords in your content based on how often they are present and where they are present. This is an attempt to determine what is “real” content as opposed to web pages laced with meta tag keywords that have nothing to do with the article.
