LONDON-The biggest hotelier in the world, InterContinental Hotels has reported a rise of 22% in its profit for the first half of 2010. A total of $219 million was reported as operating profit. The returns were strong as the Asian markets performed well, especially China where room occupancy was high due to increased business travel.
The group also reported a rise in the revenue per available room by 3.4% in the 1H10 and a rise of 7.4% in Q2 2010. For the full story, go to Reuters.
