TYSONS CORNER, VA-Tenant rep firm the Ezra Co. has had a strong presence in the Northern Virginia market for decades, COO Mark Ezra tells GlobeSt.com. The company currently has approximately one million square feet of transactions pending in its pipeline in that part of the DC area, he says. But it has not had an actual physical presence until now, with the opening of its first Northern Virginia office, located in Tysons Corner.
The driver behind the opening, he says, was a need to expand headcount in the Maryland office--and the realization that there was no room to put the new brokers. "We felt the Northern Virginia market was underserved from a tenant rep perspective so we decided to invest in a new office there," Ezra says. The office space will be located at 8300 Greensboro Dr. in McLean. Gene Martin, a twenty-year veteran with the firm, is leading the new Tysons Corner office along with Jack Schneider, who joined the Ezra team three years ago.
The company is in growth mode in general, Ezra says, with plans to hire between five to ten brokers spread out across all jurisdictions. It hopes to bring at least five brokers on board by the end of the year, Ezra says.
