NEW YORK CITY-Century 21, a discount department store, is moving toward a major expansion in Manhattan. The apparel store's plans to enlarge space at 22 Cortlandt St. situated between Broadway and Church Street by 76,200 square feet have been approved by the City's Council's Subcommittee on Zoning and Franchises.

Century 21, which currently holds 120,000 square feet, will add three more floors at the Cortlandt Street property. The store is also ready to take 61,000 square feet 1972 Broadway. For the full story, go to Crain's New York Business .
