ATHENS, AL-Carpenter Technology Corp. has selected an Alabama site to build its new manufacturing plant. The company will construct its 400,000-square-foot plant near the city of Athens in Limestone County.

The $500-million plant will be constructed on a 230-acre site located 100 miles south of Nashville. Carpenter examined more than 240 possible locations and finally selected the Athens site.
