Developers Seek Financing for North Avenue Library Redevelopment

MILWAUKEE-Three developers, who are competing to redevelop the North Avenue library in Milwaukee into an apartment, are appealing to a federal government loan program to construct market-rate housing or state tax credits to fund affordable units. They are Oregon, Wisconsin-based Gorman & Co. Inc., Waukesha-based HSI Properties LLC and Madison-based Stone House Development Inc.

The Milwaukee Public Library system is planning to sell the North Avenue library site for a redevelopment. The budgets for the projects range from $14.2 million to $15.6 million. For the full story, go to Business Journal Serving Greater Milwaukee .
