Omaha Retailer Plans for 430-Acre Complex in The Colony

DALLAS-Nebraska Furniture Mart, a furniture retailer based in Omaha, is planning for a $1.5-billion complex in The Colony.

DALLAS-Nebraska Furniture Mart, a furniture retailer based in Omaha, is planning for a $1.5-billion complex in The Colony. The 430-acre complex is situated south of State Highway 121 between West Spring Creek Parkway and Plano Parkway.

The furniture retailer will anchor a 1.8-million-square-foot building in the complex. The building will also have 546,000 square feet of showroom. The complex will also include a theme park, restaurant, hotel and retail properties. Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway Inc. owns Nebraska Furniture Mart.
