LEAWOOD, KS-Glimcher Realty Trust has acquired Town Center Plaza, 650,000-square-foot open-air mall at 119th Street between Roe and Nall avenues in Leawood, from DDR Corp. for $139 million. DDR took possession of Glimcher's Polaris Towne Center, 700,000-square-foot property in Columbus, Ohio, for approximately $80 million.
In September, Glimcher and DDR had agreed to swap their properties. Town Center Plaza is anchored by Dick's Sporting Goods and Macy's and Polaris Towne Center is anchored by Best Buy, Kroger, Lowe's, T.J. Maxx and Target. For the full story, go to Kansas City Business Journal .
