KAPOLEI, HI-The final environmental evaluation for Tampa, Florida-based DeBartolo Development's planned regional shopping mall in East Kapolei has been approved by the Hawaiian Homes Commission. The approval will allow DeBartolo to construct the 1.4-million-square-foot mall in two phases.

The Ka Makana Alii project's first phase will have 200,681 square feet of space and the second phase will have over 1.1 million square feet of space. The construction cost of the project is expected to reach $400 million. For the full story, go to Pacific Business News .
