NEW YORK CITY-Highgate Holdings has nearly completed the interior demolition of the former Knickerbocker Hotel situated at 1466 Broadway with plans to convert the property into a hotel. The company is planning to start construction on the 37-story hotel at 136 W. 42nd St. by April.
Highgate has reached a contract to sell the hotel project to Diamond Rock Hospitality once construction gets completed. The company will retain the retail portion of the property. For the full story, go to New York Post .
