
RICHMOND, CA-Lawrence Berkeley National Lab is expecting to start the first phase of its second campus, which could contain approximately 2 million square feet of office, R&D and lab space, in Richmond. The lab has chosen the Richmond Field Station to accommodate the second campus.
The first phase of the project will comprise a 300,000-square-foot building. The lab will bring together nearly 800 workers from other East Bay buildings into the new building. The project is expected to be completed by 2016. For the full story, go to San Francisco Business Times .
