BIRMINGHAM, AL-PowerConcrete Building Technologies Inc., a concrete home construction company based in Alabaster, is looking for a $2.5-million loan to redevelop blighted residential properties. The company is seeking the loan from the city of Birmingham.

PowerConcrete Building Technologies and 21st Equity Homes Manufacturing Inc. will use the loan to purchase, demolish and construct new natural disaster-proof concrete homes all through the city.
