LONDON-Developer Chelsfield has been named selected bidder to build a mixed-use development in a 50-acre parcel in the Royal Docks in London. The developer, along with partners First Base and Imagination Europe, won the bid organized by Mayor Boris Johnson and the London Development Agency.

The GBP 1.2-billion development at Silvertown Quays will provide 2,454,171 square feet of retail and commercial space and 1,360,988 square feet of residential. It will create 9,000 jobs. For the full story, go to The Wharf .
