CICERO, IL-Walmart is preparing to construct a 190,000-square-foot supercenter in Cicero. The store will be built on 21 acres of land at the former Sportsman's Park racetrack site on the southwest corner of South Cicero Avenue and 33rd Street.
A Wirtz beverage distribution facility will also be built on the site. Nearly 200 construction jobs are required for the project. Construction is scheduled to begin in mid-2013 and it will be completed in mid-2014. For the full story, go to Chicago Sun Times .
