ST. LOUIS-The AFL-CIO Housing Investment Trust, an investment company based in Washington, DC, is providing a $6.6-million financing for two senior housing projects in Shrewsbury. Besides the renovation of the Holy Infant and St. Joseph apartments, the investment will help refinance the properties' exiting debt.

The $13-million renovation will transform the existing apartments into single-bedroom units. The two low-income senior housing properties, which contain 157 units, are owned by Cardinal Ritter Senior Services. For the full story, go to St. Louis Business Journal .
