THE COLONY, TX-Nebraska Furniture Mart Inc. is planning to develop a 433-acre site in a Dallas suburb. The company, owned by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway, already owns three stores and is now preparing to develop the fourth store in The Colony.
The company will break ground on a 1.8-million-square-foot store/warehouse facility, which will be opened by 2015. The remaining land will house more store, restaurants, hotels, entertainment venues homes and a convention center. The estimated cost of the project is $1.8 billion.
