CHICAGO-A venture headed by Dimitrios Kourkouvis of Chicago-based Athens Construction Co. is planning to transform an empty industrial building in Pilsen into an apartment building. The project, which will turn the five-story industrial facility at 1600 S. Jefferson St. into apartments, will cost nearly $3.5 million.

The apartment building will include 25 units and 6,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. Kourkouvis' firm bought the property last year for $500,000. For the full story, go to Crain's Chicago Business .
