BELLEVILLE, IL-A senior housing community is planned to be constructed in downtown Belleville. The $5-million project, to be called The Cottages at Cathedral Square, will be built beside St. Peter's Cathedral.
The Belleville News-Democrat reported that the new senior housing complex will contain four single-story structures with 16 single- and double-bedroom units. The 1,000-square-foot development will have a large courtyard and gated entrances. St. Peter's Cathedral bought the property for approximately $300,000.
