FedEx Ground to Build $64M Center in Philadelphia Region

PHILADELPHIA-Moon Township, Pennsylvania-based FedEx Ground, a unit of Memphis-based FedEx Corp., will build a state-of-the-art distribution facility in the Philadelphia region.

PHILADELPHIA-Moon Township, Pennsylvania-based FedEx Ground, a unit of Memphis-based FedEx Corp., will build a state-of-the-art distribution facility in the Philadelphia region. The $64-million facility will come up in Tinicum Township.

The new 211,000-square-foot center will be opened in September 2013. This new automated distribution center is part of the company's upgrade that has seen the relocation or expansion of 500 facilities. The groundbreaking will take place on Thursday.
