BALTIMORE-The Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor, a 524-room hotel in downtown, will start a $3.1-million overhaul at the end of the year. Jon Lockwood, the regional senior sales director of Marriott, said that the property will scrap one of its eateries, Cafe Promenade, to make way for a 3,000-square-foot meeting space and renovate its lobby to include social business.

The hotel currently contains 30,000 square feet of meeting space. The overhaul will also include an enlargement of the Yard Sports Bar & Grille. For the full story, go to Baltimore Business Journal .
