CHULA VISTA, CA-The approval from the California Coastal Commission for the updated version of Chula Vista's bayfront master plan has cleared way for approximately $2 billion in new commercial and residential development. The development will start in the next four years.

The commercial plans for development include almost three hotels with nearly 2,850 rooms; 245,000 square feet of retail; 220,000 square feet of offices; 415,000 square feet of conference and meeting center space; and 100,000 square feet of restaurants.
