WASHINGTON, DC-ULI Washington has selected the participants for its 2012-2013 Regional Land Use Leadership Institute class. Formed last year, the Institute brings together local mid-level leaders in the development, land use, legal, nonprofit, government and financial fields. Applicants must have at least five years of real estate experience and be involved in community service and civic groups.
“Our goal is to have an active alumni group that will continue to work on these issues even when their class is over--a cadre of real estate executives that are focused beyond their own jurisdictions and committed to making the entire Washington area the best region overall,” executive director Lisa Rother told GlobeSt.com last year when the inaugural class was selected.
The 30 people selected for the eight-day class will discuss how to accommodate growth in the nation's Capital area in the coming decades. They will attend panel discussions, lectures and project tours and interact with public officials and industry leaders.
