
HONOLULU-The Hawaii Land Use Commission has voted in support of a use change for a planned regional shopping center being developed on a 67-acre land in West Oahu. Florida-based DeBartolo Development LLC is developing the 1.4-million-square-foot mall on the Hawaiian Home Lands-owned parcel.
The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported that the LUC approved the $350-million project, named Ka Makana Alii, to be developed on the site. The newspaper reported that the 200,681 square-foot initial phase is scheduled to be opened in 2014. For the full story, go to Pacific Business News .
