NEW YORK CITY-A recent lease signed by a Swiss pharmaceutical company has made a developer to start construction on a stalled office tower on Manhattan's East Side. Roche Holding AG has signed a lease with Alexandria Real Estate Equities Inc. for 60,000 square feet of space in the planned tower.

The pharmaceutical company will relocate a research unit to Manhattan from New Jersey. Alexandria is expecting to complete construction on the approximately 400,000-square-foot building by the end of next year. For the full story, go to Wall Street Journal .
