Developer Gets $42M Construction Loan for Midtown Project

SAN JOSE, CA-A $68-million mixed-use development in San Jose's midtown will start within weeks as the developer has closed on a construction loan for the project.

SAN JOSE, CA-A $68-million mixed-use development in San Jose's midtown will start within weeks as the developer has closed on a construction loan for the project. Republic Urban Properties and San Jose-based Barry Swenson Builder are ready to start construction on a 3.5-acre parcel at 1400 West Carlos St.

The mixed-use project will comprise 218 apartments and 15,800 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. The $42-million construction loan is being provided by Bank of the West. For the full story, go to Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal .
