BIRMINGHAM, AL-The University of Alabama at Birmingham is planning to lease space in Regions Plaza, a 217,875-square-foot office building in downtown Birmingham. The school is in negotiations with West Second Street Associates LLC, the building owner, about leasing space for its administrative offices.

If the deal is signed, UAB will occupy the vacant space of Viva Health Inc. at 217,875-square-foot building. West Second Street Associates bought Regions Plaza in March 2011 from Regions Financial Corp. for $5 million. For the full story, go to Birmingham Business Journal .
