BIRMINGHAM, AL-Morrow Construction Co., based in Georgia, has filed a $13.8-million construction permit for a new multifamily property on Venice Road. In February, Davis Development, the developer of the apartment complex, purchased the 20.5-acre site near Lakeshore Parkway for $2.4 million from U.S. Steel Corp.
Officials at Georgia-based Davis Development said earlier that they hoped to start construction on the 288-unit apartment project in June. Developer StoneRiver Co. LLC is hoping to break ground by mid-February 2013. For the full story, go to Birmingham Business Journal .
