BALTIMORE-A Virginia firm is preparing to transform 10 Light Street, the second-tallest building in Baltimore, into apartments. Reston, Virginia-based Metropolitan Partnership Ltd. bought the 34-story, 520,000-square-foot office tower for $6 million in November. A statement from the new owner's website reported that 10 Light Street will be converted into 445 rental apartments.

The Nellis Corp., which bought the building in 2002 for $5.3 million, sold it to Metropolitan Partnership. After conversion, the building's first floor will be used for retail tenants. For the full story, go to Baltimore Sun .
