ADDISON, TX—Robert Behringer has resigned as chairman of Behringer Harvard Holdings LLC and now is chairman emeritus.
Also on Tuesday, Behringer resigned his positions on various real estate investment trusts at Behringer Harvard.
Behringer resigned after being diagnosed with a medical condition that affected his speech, according to a report in the Dallas Business Journal. He decided to accelerate a succession plan that had begun more than a year ago, officials said.
In 2011, Behringer Harvard named a new CEO and COO of the company, Robert Aisner and Jason Mattox, respectively.
