BALTIMORE-The Emerging Technology Center, an incubator that has been in operation since 1999, is relocating into smaller quarters at the former King Cork & Seal Building this fall.

The ETC, which is overseen by the Baltimore Development Corp., is shifting its operations from 30,000 square feet of leased space at the Can Company in Canton to 20,000 square feet of space at its new facility at 101 N. Haven St. in Highlandtown.

Despite the smaller offices, ETC President Deborah Tillett expects the incubator will help more companies, mainly by expanding its work with virtual companies, or businesses that do not require conventional bricks and mortar offices. See story in the Baltimore Business Journal.
