SEATTLE—A tight market for office space here, has led at least one developer to shoehorn some office footage into a mixed-use building planned for the Capitol Hill area.

Seattle-based Hunters Capitol has decided to include a floor of office in a seven-story mixed-use apartment project it plans to build atop a redevelopment of an concrete auto-row building at 501 E.
