BALTIMORE-MGM Resorts International delivered an 800-page casino license application to the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Commission in South Baltimore on Thursday for its planned $800-million Prince George's County casino.

The Las Vegas-based entertainment company delivered the paperwork in four black sport utility vehicles, according to the Baltimore Business Journal.

Lorenzo Creighton, president of MGM National Harbor, says the company wants to build a “world class” facility at National Harbor similar to its properties in Las Vegas.

MGM will not be the only company vying for the Prince George's County casino license. Penn National Gaming stated in a filing last week it also planned to apply for the license. Applications were due by 2 p.m. on Friday. See story in the Baltimore Business Journal.
