BALTIMORE-Three companies submitted bids for a casino license in Prince George's County with the Maryland Lottery Facility Location Commission by the Friday deadline at 2 p.m.

The three bidders, according to the commission were: MGM Resorts International, which is proposing an $800-million hotel and casino with 3,600 slot machines and 140 table games at the National Harbor resort; Greenwood Racing, which hopes to develop an $800-million hotel and casino with 4,760 slot machines and 170 table games at the intersection of Indian Head Highway and Old Fort Road in Fort Washington; and Penn National Gaming, which is seeking to build a $700-million hotel and casino with 500 slot machines and 140 table games at Rosecroft Raceway in Fort Washington. The commission is expected to select a winning bidder by December.

According to the Baltimore Business Journal, MGM paid a license fee to the commission of $21.6 million; Greenwich Racing paid $28.5 million and Penn National Gaming forked over a $3-million licensing fee.
