BALTIMORE-The Baltimore Development Corp. voted on Thursday to recommend the city sell a garage north of the former Hendler Creamery as part of a proposed multifamily project there.
The agency approved a plan to sell the 33,500-square-foot garage to The Commercial Group, which is planning a $45-million development at the garage site and the adjacent former creamery building at 1100 E. Baltimore St., which it purchased last October for nearly $1.1 million. The proposed sale price for the garage is $180,000, according to the Baltimore Business Journal.
The garage will be demolished to make way for the new 250-unit apartment building. The Hendler building will be renovated and incorporated into the complex and will feature an interior courtyard and 10,000 square feet of retail space. See story in the Baltimore Business Journal.
