MOORESTOWN, PA-Home improvement manufacturer Masco Corp. reports it will shutter its plant on Glen Avenue here as well as a facility in Adamsville, TN.
The firm, headquartered in Taylor, MI, will be laying off about 70 workers at the Moorestown plant, according to the Burlington County Times.
This decision comes after careful analysis and review of our plumbing segment,” says Keith Allman, group president of Masco, in a statement. “It supports our initiative to reduce our cost structure, balance capacity and demand, and improve operating efficiencies as we continue our focus on delivering products that offer quality, reliability and innovation.”
Both the Moorestown and Adamsville plants, which manufacture acrylic bathtubs and showers, are expected to close by the end of this year. See story at phillyburbs.com.
