MADISON, NJ-A host of state and local officials, including Gov. Chris Christie were on hand for Thursday's ribbon cutting at real estate brokerage firm Realogy's corporate headquarters.

Nearly 1,000 of the company's workers also attended the event at its new headquarters at 175 Park Ave. The company was previously headquartered in Parsippany.

Gov. Christie said, "This ribbon-cutting signifies much more than just an investment in your business; it's an investment in New Jersey and its residents, and a testament to your faith in our state. More importantly, I'm proud that our administration was able to partner with you to secure that investment in our state and in our people."

Realogy's new headquarters incorporates “green” roof technology and mechanical systems. Building owner, the Hampshire Companies, and architectural firm Kohn Pederson Fox, worked together to incorporate natural light and the latest technologies into the building design that features a fitness center, a full-service cafe, and conference/team room facilities.

Realogy signed a 17-year lease and is the sole tenant of the 270,000-square-foot space, according to the Madison Eagle.

The Park Avenue facility houses all current Realogy corporate headquarters employees, including the Realogy Franchise Group and its franchise brands− Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, CENTURY 21, Coldwell Banker, Coldwell Banker Commercial, ERA and Sotheby's International Realty – along with the home office of Realogy's brokerage subsidiary, NRT.
