TYSONS CORNER, VA-Grocer Wegmans is reportedly in discussions to open a store that would be part of the Scotts Run Station South development project here.

The Rochester, NY-based food chain is considering opening a smaller 80,000-square-foot location than its normal 100,000-square-foot footprint, according to the Washington Post. An unnamed source told the newspaper that the Wegmans could be located on Colshire Drive off Route 123.

A few months ago Cityline received approval from Fairfax County to build 6.7 million square feet at Scotts Run Station South. According to newspaper sources, Cityline would sign a deal with Roadside Development to develop the Wegmans with apartments or condominiums on top. Cityline has already lined up deals with Home Properties, JLB Partners and Hanover Co. for residential development at the project. See story in the Washington Post.
