PHILADELPHIA-The Archdiocese of Philadelphia hopes to sell eight properties via auction next month.
The properties include two former schools buildings and three convents in Philadelphia. The archdiocese has retained Max Spann Real Estate Auction Co. to help facilitate the sales. Some of the properties to be sold are owned by parishes in the archdiocese, according to the Inquirer.
“Parish properties are being included as part of an effort to assist parishes seeking to sell," says Kenneth Gavin, director of communications for the archdiocese. "Assets from the sale of those properties would remain with the parishes."
The auction will be held at 1 p.m. on July 24 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. See story in The Inquirer.
