CHARLOTTE-Locally-based Spectrum Properties hopes to begin construction by year's-end on a new seven-story, 177-unit apartment project that will be adjacent to the new BB&T Ballpark in uptown Charlotte.
The developer plans to build the project tentatively called “The Mint,” on a 1.4-acre site located on West Trade near where a branch of the US Mint was located until 1933, according to the Charlotte Business Journal.
The Mint will feature five stories of residential units over two floors of covered parking. The project will have studio, one- and two-bedroom rental units with an average size of approximately 900 square feet. See story in the Charlotte Business Journal.
