BRADENTON, FL-A commercial project that would include a six-story hotel, restaurant and retail space, is in the works here along the Manatee River waterfront.

According to city documents obtained by the Bradenton Herald, developer R. Scott Tibbetts is looking to secure approvals for a 160-room hotel at the site of the Tarpon Pointe Grill and Tiki Bar and Manatee Landings Marina.

In addition to the hotel, Tibbetts is also looking to build 11,500 square feet of retail; 1,500 square feet of retail kiosks; a 6,000-square-foot ships store and two hotel restaurants of 6,000 and 8,000 square feet, as well as a parking garage and 212-slip marina.
