TRENTON, NJ-The New Jersey Economic Development Authority approved a package of incentives for New Hampshire-based C&S Wholesale Grocers for its possible lease of nearly 47,000 square feet in Edison.
The EDA on Wednesday approved approximately $530,000 in incentives to C&S, the largest wholesale grocery distribution firm in the United States, despite the fact that a C&S subsidiary, Woodbridge Logistics, let go its entire workforce and shuttered all of its six New Jersey locations in 2011, according to the Star Ledger.
C&S, which currently leases office space in Avenel, is considering the Edison space as well as a site in Staten Island. See story in the Star Ledger.
