LOS ANGELES-CBRE Global Investors has hired Alison Hawkins as managing director in investor services. Based in Los Angeles, she will be responsible for raising capital, investor-relationship management and development, and investment-program recommendations in the US market.

Before joining CBRE, Hawkins was a principal with Artemis Real Estate Partners, where she was responsible for capital raising and asset management. Prior to that, she was at Eastdil Secured in the firm's private-equity group, focusing on raising private funds, joint-venture equity and entity and portfolio recapitalizations. Previously, she had practiced law, first at a national private litigation firm where she was made partner and later as general counsel to an operating company.

According to Mike McMenomy, global head of investor services for CBRE, “With her depth of real property asset knowledge and relationships across multiple investor profiles, Alison will be a valuable addition to our global team of investor-services professionals.”

As GlobeSt.com reported in July, CBRE Strategic Partners U.S. Value 6, a fund sponsored by CBRE Global Investors, has acquired Murphy Crossing, a five-building, office project in Silicon Valley. Located at 1001, 1011 and 1033 McCarthy Blvd. and 915 and 933 Murphy Ranch Rd. on the border of Milpitasand North San Jose, Murphy Crossing is a 361,807-square-foot, class-A property that serves as the headquarters location for all four of its existing tenants.

In addition, as GlobeSt.com also reported in July, CBRE Group Inc. has appointed Matt Werner global director of sales & solutions for its global corporate services business. In his new role, Werner will have overall executive responsibility for GCS business development activities globally.
